The Structure First Method
The Brand
Visibility Audit
20 questions that reveal whether your brand is working as hard as you are.
Most businesses believe they have a marketing problem when they have a positioning problem. If your brand looks smaller than the business actually is, that is not bad luck, and it is not solved by posting more often. It is a structure problem, and it is fixable. This audit exposes where your brand is quietly costing you the clients you should be winning.
Being good at what you do is not the same as being seen to be.
Before you begin
Answer for how your brand shows up today, not how you mean it to.
Select Yes only when it is consistently true across every place someone meets your brand, not just on your best channel or your best day. Each section scores out of five. The gaps are the point.
Section 01
Positioning and Clarity
Before anyone can be impressed by you, they have to understand you. Most brands lose people here, in the first minute.
Can a stranger understand what you do, who it is for, and why it is different, within the first minute of meeting your brand?
Is there one clear thing you want to be known for, or does your brand try to say everything and land nothing?
Do you know precisely who you are for, and just as importantly, who you are not for?
Is your positioning built on something real, or could a competitor claim the same thing simply by changing their words?
When a brand tries to appeal to everyone, it stops being memorable to anyone. The clarity to say who you are not for is what makes the right people feel you are exactly for them.
Section 02
Brand and Perception
People judge the quality of your work by the quality of how you present it, long before they ever experience it.
Does your brand look as credible and considered as the quality of what you actually deliver?
Is the experience of your brand consistent everywhere, or does it change depending on the platform or who made it?
Would your brand still be recognisable as yours if someone removed your name and logo from it?
Does how you present yourself attract the clients you actually want, or mostly the ones you can get?
A premium business that presents itself cheaply teaches people to expect less, and to pay less. Your presentation sets the price before you ever quote one.
Section 03
Content and Message
Content is not something you produce to stay busy. Every piece either does a job or quietly wastes attention.
Does your content earn attention in the first few seconds, or does it assume people will stay and read?
Is your content built around what your audience needs to hear, or around what you want to say?
Does every piece of content have a clear job, or is much of it published simply to stay visible?
Is your message consistent enough that someone would recognise your voice even without your name attached?
Posting more is not a strategy, it is a treadmill. Content that knows its job beats content that only knows how to be frequent.
Section 04
Visibility and Reach
Being present is not the same as being found. Reach that depends entirely on your effort is a job, not an asset.
Does your visibility depend on you posting constantly, or is there structure that keeps you present without constant effort?
Do you regularly reach people who are not already following you, or are you mostly speaking to the same audience?
Is your commercial content, your photography and video, representing you at the level you operate, or below it?
When someone new discovers you, is there a clear path for what they do next, or does that interest quietly go nowhere?
Attention you cannot convert is a leak, not a win. The moment someone discovers you is the moment most brands have nothing prepared for them to do next.
Section 05
Conversion and Trust
Interest is not income. A brand has to earn trust and make the next step obvious, before a stranger will ever act.
Does your brand give a stranger real reasons to trust you before they ever speak to you?
Is it obvious how someone works with you, or do they have to work it out for themselves?
Does your online presence actively bring in enquiries, or does it simply exist and wait?
Can you tell what is actually bringing you clients, or are you guessing at what works?
